[Revision ** 1.1 **]
Hi, my name is Hung Khee Hua and my wife is Jessica Wong King. We stay in an executive apartment in the north-eastern part of Singapore, in a public housing town called Pasir Ris. It is about 10 minutes by taxi (cab) to Changi International Airport.
Here is our wedding picture (Dec 1992- Outside the Restaurant:
I was a Civil Servant for some 18+ years. I worked in Kent Ridge Hospital Commissioning Secretariat, Biomedical Engineering Department, Pharmaceutical Department and Public Works Department(PWD). PWD was restructured on 1 April 99 (April Fool's Day) to become PWD Corporation Pte Ltd, now known as CPG Corporation Pte Ltd. But before that fateful date, on 26 Mar 99 some 500 PWD staff had a bash in a cruise to nowhere in SuperStar Leo. See PWD Board of Directors singing the PWD Song for the last time on board.
I am now out of the Civil Service. Don't know the reasons but I guess it is all in God's plans for me. Finding it hard to find a new job since I am no longer interested in my old job. Since then I have acquired a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate. My team members and project can be found here .[Sorry, will try to find the missing picture of my TCS team members asap :-) ] Got my Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification but after 3 years it has expired. Took some courses and now got A+ and Network+ certifications. Also paid $6400 and undertook the Aces at Your Services training (franchise) and started my own company in Sep 2004, Ace Computer Services. My business site is at www.acesservice.com . I do on-site computer /pc servicing and repairs mainly in the east areas like Pasir Ris, Tampines, Bedok, East Coast, Simei and Changi.
OK, back to the SuperStar Leo boat cruise, see my wife and I in SuperStar Leo On the Top Deck | Wife by the Poolside | Jessica & Kheehua at Bow of SuperStar Leo.
My wife, a secretary, works for an American chemical products company, Albemarle Corporation. We are happily married. No kids and so we can afford overseas vacation every year! But with the current S.E. Asia financial crisis and bad economy, can we? Yes, we can! Just go to nearer countries. We went to Harbin, China in February (Chinese New Year 1999 ).
Then in the same year, Sep 1999 we went to Vancouver, Canada !
Our Beijing trip (April 2001) album here
And again to Athens and Santorini Island in Greece in May 2002. Pictures still not available yet.
Seems we are often on holidays? I happen to think vacation is not an option of life. It is necessary for our well being! It is a break from the routines of work, home and etc. It is for refreshing our life, minds and to get to know other people from other cultures. If you cannot afford holidays don't worry- just take a break from your work, stay at home, or visit the local areas. Wishing you happy holidays too whether locally or overseas.
Both my wife and I are Christians. We worship in Wesley Methodist Church . I was not born a Christian but became converted while studying in St Andrews' School, a mission school. I was in St. Andrews' from 1964 to 1976. We have chapel periods and sung hymns during assembly in the Hall. My wife became converted after we met. She used to go to church on her own before we met. Aren't I lucky to meet her? Or isn't God good to us?
To find out more about Christianity, see Internet Christian Library (a pity their ftp pun directory is gone), you also can read Radio Bible Class' Ten Reasons To Believe. If you are a Christian interested to know more about Jesus Christ, study the Bible, or read classic Christian literatures, etc, please visit Christian Classics Ethereal Library to read articles of enduring significance. Be warn that there are many articles here for a lifetime study!
If you want to hear/learn some hymns from The United Methodist Hymnal the link above mentioned is worth visiting.
My interests are -
My wife's interests are different. She likes cooking, which partly explains my portly nature after marriage. I seldom read the Health & Fitness articles , which also explains (mostly) my size. Seriously, she likes travelling, knitting, listening to music, playing piano, going out with girl friends, shopping (esp. when there is "sales") and gossiping :-(
To learn more about my friend Mr Tong KS, why not try his website? Here is a picture of the March birthday boys (taken in Mar 1998) by Mr Tong KS who remains anonymous :-)
